Jennifer broke the news to most of you yesterday but I had to blog about this years expectations too! I am basically copying the important stuff and changing around my personal goals.
1. January to April: Drop some pounds (the never ending saga) to make running a little easier. Focus on my form so that I do not have any life changing injuries, read everything I can get my eyes on to learn all of the tips and tricks to a successful run and look for encouragement everywhere I can find it.
2. May to August: 16-week training program
3. September: 5K and begin to repeat portions of the training program until December arrives
4. October: 10K
5. November: Keep on runnin'...
6. December: HALF-MARATHON!!!!
Our ultimate goal is to finish the half-marathon in December, take a week off, continue training and complete the FULL Country Music Marathon in Nashville, TN in April 2010.
Who knows...maybe we can just keep going and bust out a Ironman triathlon we would just have to add a 112-mile cycling trek and a 2.4-mile swim :)

That's awesome! I would love to do a marathon one day...if I could just learn to breathe when I run :o) Best of luck with everything...can't wait to read updates on how the program is going!
awesome! I don't know what program you are doing but I did the "Couch Potato to 5K" (also goes to 10K) program off of the Birmingham Track Club's website and it works! Chad is doing it right now too and he's up to about 3 miles. I loved the feeling of accomplishment after I finished my first 5K running the WHOLE thing! I would have loved to go further but then proceeded to get preggers... twice... so maybe one day in the future! Run on, girlfriend! :)
I am so blessed to have someone like you to do this with, Kim! I can't wait to see what kinds of memories and bloopers we come up with in the next 16 months. It's going to be awesome!!! Love ya! I am going to be the proudest friend ever when we cross the finish line together!
Kudos to you both. :)
I am so proud of both of you. I really wish I could do it with yall. Maybe I can run on my own!
GOOD FOR YOU! You'll do it. I know you can! Keep us informed about your progress. Congrats on the weight loss!
