What a Wonderful Christmas

This year in general has been great. With the new little love in our lives making it extra sweet, a puppy (which I was sure would never come to pass), Brad not getting injured which is a huge feat in it self, Hailey making good grades in her first year of "real" school, my being able to stay home and take care of my family. The list could go on for miles but we really do have so much to be thankful for and we are blessed beyond my wildest dreams. I am so happy to be a Christian and have the support of family and friends who truly love me.

This Christmas was great. I woke up extra early to get the casserole in the oven and all the last minute straiting up done. We have the Grandparents over to watch the kids get up and open gifts. We started doing that when Hailey was a baby and now it is even more fun watching Hailey and Blake and their different reactions to Santa.

Oh, along with the Hashbrown Casserole I also made a Chocolate Cream filled Torte I didn't go by this recipe per say but I made a variation of it with real melted chocolate chips instead of the cocoa and instead of make all chocolate filled layers I did some with just the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, vanilla & almond extract. I thought it turned out really well. Plus Chee-vee baked her famous pound cake for me to use also!
