Last week I officially decided that I was going to follow through with my promise to try cloth diapering. I found a place called Wildflower Diapers. this site is LOADED with information for the parents that don't know where or how to start cloth diapering. I decided to order a variety pack from them. It included one of each of the following brands: Happy Heiny, Fuzzi Bunz, Dry Bees, Knickernappies, & Bum Genius. I also placed an order for two starter kits from gdiapers, a brand I have heard a lot about from other mommies in blog world.
When I first received my package from gdiapers I was immediately able to start using them. They are easy to use and clean. They have also passed the "poo" and "overnight" tests with no leaks. I am looking forward to using them when I am on the go because you can treat them like a disposable while out but can pack them with your own true cloth diapers when at home.
All of the ones I purchased from Wildflowers are pocket diapers and I was a little overwhelmed with the instructions on preparing these before you could even use them. But, it only took two days to get them all ready, I have only used two of them yet and the Bum Genius passed the "overnight" test last night.
So far I think this is going to work out wonderfully! I still need some prefold cloth diapers if you have any to give or know anyone trying to get rid of any I would greatly appreciate the donation. I will keep you updated on our diapering experiences! So check back for more to come!!

You are so funny. I love the bum one. You are a brave woman. I just want a whole bunch of throw away one b/c I don't think I could wash the poo!!!!!
I didn't know they had a little 'g' on them- cute! I'm intrigued by the idea of cloth diapering esp. as far as a cost-savings, but I am scared I would wimp out with everything else involved. I'm interested to hear how it goes!
Good luck on the cloth diapering. I know it will be cheaper, but I never could bring myself to try afraid it would be too messy. Also about this Fall I agree with the workout idea. Maybe meet when we drop the kidos off at school and go for a walk across the street.
I'm proud of you! As much as I've spent in diapers these past 10 years, there is no telling how much money I could have saved. Didn't realize how nice they make them now. Good luck!
