Yesterday afternoon I made up my mind that I was going to venture back to the gym. I haven't been in weeks because I usually feel the most drained and sick around the time I get off of work.
I took it easy (mostly). I didn't want to jiggle the baby around too much. The class I seem to enjoy the most is called BodyCombat: An empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. The fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, tae kwon do, tai chi and muay thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors, you strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.... I was once told that if you worked your hardest you could burn upto 700 calories a class!!
It felt good to be back and apart of the group the music was fun and it was great to just let loose. I was proud of myself for finishing the entire class while only having to run to the bathroom once! I hope that my determination to stay healthy during this pregnancy will keep pushing me to hang in there and continue with my classes. I am sure that when I am off work at the end of June I will come back from vacation full force and take up more diverse classes. I haven't done BodyFlow in a long time and I think that the yoga stretching and breathing will be nice when my belly starts to grow larger.
I can't wait to get back and kick some more booty soon!!!
