Yesterday was very interesting. After leaving work early to pick up Hailey from school I went home for a couple of hours to see what the weather man was saying about the storms coming our way. After the sirens went off and the rain started pouring in I decided it was probably best to go over to my Mother-in-laws home to get in the basement and make sure we would be safer than if we stayed in our little house. (Brad opted to sleep...he apparently doesn't care if he gets swept away by an tornado) We got to her home safe and sound and all of us (Mama Chee-vee, Lori, Me, Hailey and Todd) all went into the basement and watched the weather from there. The sound of the wind coming down the chimney sounded really bad but thankfully no damage was done in our area.
After the worst part of the storm blew over I wanted to get back home and make sure Brad was all right and get supper going. After a good spaghetti dinner and a quick hello and good bye, Brad was off to work and Hailey and I decided to watch Fox and the Hound II. She loves that movie and even though I have seen it 10 times... I kinda like it too :)
Not long after we started dozing off the phone rang. It was Chee-vee with some of the best news EVER! Todd (Lori's Manfriend) was getting baptized!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooooooooo excited for him and want to welcome him in to God's Family! I look forward to watching him grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord. Please keep him in your prayers. I heard he was going to be studying with his family also and we may be adding even more Longs in the future!
