Christmas Holiday Happenings

We have lights! It was so cold outside that the kids watched from the front windows while Brad and I tag teamed the strands of twinkling "icicles" I was more excited than the kids. I have never had lights on my house before and I was all giddy the first night. They look very nice! We are enjoying the extra Daddy time so much around here. Check out Brad playing with Blake, poor baby. Soon I will get a video of the pillow fights!


We also took a trip over to Patton Creek this week and had some Christmas pictures taken. I will share soon. Happy Holidays Everyone!

Saturday was Snow fun!!

Saturday Brad came in and starting waking everyone up. He wanted us to go outside and play! We bundled the little ones up and went out for as long as we could stand it. Hailey LOVED the snow and Blake while only outside for a brief photo shoot couldn't have cared less. lol

What are they doing to my child!!!?

Yesterday I took HP to the doctor for a quick check up on her UTI (she is all better now). Before we left she had to pee in a cup, get her finger pricked, be tested for TB AND get 4 additional immunizations. All of which was completely unexpected and so I hadn't prepared her (or myself) for it. She was a trooper to say the least. Yes, there were tears of pure horror but she never pulled away or tried to stop the nurses who so diligently poked at her like a pin cushion. She makes me proud every day. I wanted to cry for her but I was trying hard to be her cheerleader and remind her what a "big girl" she was.

After we finally left the doc's (torture chamber)office. I took her strait to TCBY. When we walked in she pointed to the largest cup available to be filled with frozen chocolate yogurt and topped with "bunches" of cherries. The man behind the counter looked at me like a crazy lady for buying that much for such a small girl and she barely even got ten good bites in before she was full ~ but it was so worth it to see her smiling again.

Monday....Already ?!?!

O.K. ~ I wasn't ready to start the work week so soon. The weekend was very tiring. HP woke up sick Friday morning and battled a temperature and body aches all weekend. She does feel better today but I am feeling like I didn't get any rest. I am exceptionally sick today. I woke up early and between my head aching and my stomach churning I don't know how productive I will be. I have a ton of things on my desk that just need to be walked across the hall, copied and mailed. Right now....I don't want to get up.

My happy family blog seems to be turning into a sappy sick mommy blog but you will just have to deal with me until some of this sickness passes. I am trying to stay up beat and the good days are really good...but the bad days are just plain bad.

I go for my 12 week check-up tomorrow. As you know by reading all my previous blogs....I feel like a bloated fat cow. We will see what the scale says about my weight.

Wish me luck that I will be able to hear the heartbeat. We saw it flickering on the 6 week ultrasound but hopefully we can hear it tomorrow. Hailey will be with me and I know she will love it!
