Things have not slowed down one bit since my last post. I love this time of year! So much is happening and the flowers are blooming. I love the sweet smell of the wild Honeysuckles hitting me in the face when I walk out the door in the mornings. Thank God for such wonderful blessings he has given us!
Last post I mentioned Brad and I would be hosting a Jr. & Sr. High Devotional at our home. Well, last Friday evening that is just what we did (except Brad had to work and I was flying solo). We had a great group of people from our congregation come to participate. Chance did a wonderful lesson, the singing was beautiful {as always} and I think the kids had a great time. We had taco salad with lots of desserts. The little kids bombarded HP's room to play dress up and pretend while the older kids played football in the yard. Even the adults got in on a little fun. If you haven't seen it before you must check out The Grape Lady Falls on YouTube. Too Funny!
As people started to filter out, the gals from the WINGS (Women in God's Service) group stayed a little late to visit and play games. There were only a handful of us left by midnight so we all got our p.j.'s on, snuggled down on the couches and watched the movie Fireproof. I thought it was pretty good. I cried a little. After that we (well, the two of us still awake) went and got into our beds slept pretty good until it was time to wake up and get ready to go to Ladies Day.
Again, another day full of good times with wonderful Christians. Our speaker Cindy Colley really encouraged me and helped reinforce my parenting goals. Sometimes I think I might be too tough but I know that I know what is best for my kids and I have to teach them to be workers for God, honest and pure. Not just good people.
I was beat when I finally made it home and got the kids and all of our things unloaded. The kids were worn out too. We were able to get a little rest and it was nice to have the house peaceful again.
Let's see...Tuesday my Pepa (grandfather) had a procedure done on his heart. Even though we were all tense about it, everything went smoothly and he was able to come home that same day. The rest of the week has been full also. Church, a little shopping, visiting with friends, playing at the park, and getting ready for HP's kindergarten graduation.
She looks so grown up!
What else...let me see...oh, our neighbor's puppy Sadie has been jumping the fence and hanging out in our yard. She is a Boxer and with the weather being warm she stands at our door (beggining to come in) and pants. I couldn't get in a position to get a picture of her and Blake at the same time but you can still tell what he was doing.
This is what happens when you ask him what Sadie pup does~
It is time for me to call it an evening. I need to do some reading. BTW I bought The Love Dare book. I am on day seven and Brad keeps asking me why I am being so nice to him. LOL I'll blog more about that another time. Take Care Blogger Buddies!

Aww, HP looks so grown up in her cap and gown! I have been wanting to get the Love Dare book. That is so funny about Brad- are you planning to not tell him you are doing it or has he seen the book yet?
Cindy Colley is a great speaker! You should read the book she wrote with her husband. It is called "Your Momma Don't Dance" and it is really good. I have a copy if you want to borrow it.
Teale: Brad has seen the book lying around, I'm sure. But, he hasn't seen te movie and doesn't have a clue :)
Katie: Yes, I would love to borrow that book. I am also looking to buy "You're Singing My Song" it is a new one by Glen & Cindy that focuses on marriage and centering your relatioship on God.
Hailey looks like such a big girl. I want to watch the movie, too. Do you own it, or did you rent it? I love you...have a good week!
HP looks like such a little lady in her cap and gown. We are so proud of her.
I can't believe how big HP is getting. I love that picture of her! Thanks for sharing your babies. I know you are ready for some R&R....and LB time!!!!
