Red Envelope Campaign ~ Get Involved!

This post is ultimately no different than any other. I will be bragging on my children. Precious, precious children. I love them dearly. I can't imagine life without them. The joy that is brought to Brad and I through their little smiles and giggles radiating through our home on a daily basis is irreplaceable. This week the Sunshine Girls got together and organized 250 Red Envelopes to pass out after worship this morning. If you haven't already heard. By doing this, we are supporting the Red Envelope Campaign. The goal is to bombard the President with Red Envelopes that show that we are against abortion. Please, if you are able, take a part in this. I didn't even notice that Hailey took a few in with us to Golden Wok where we decided to eat lunch until she asked me if she could pass them out. That kid never ceases to amaze me. She is so thoughtful and wants to do her best at everything. It overjoyed me when I saw how these strangers responded to her and I pray those people will mail those envelopes.

Because it is such a strong topic to discuss with a six year old, when Hailey asked why we were doing this; I let her know it was to help out a really good cause. I can't imagine she could (or if I would even want her to try to) wrap her mind around why someone would hurt a little baby inside a Mommy's tummy. Once, many years ago, for a Ladies Day I believe, I was asked to read a story aloud about abortion. Before I was halfway through it several women in the class were crying and it was hard to keep reading. I wish I had a copy of it now. I tried to find it online but when I typed in "abortion story from un-born baby" I was overwhelmed with the real life abortion stories, news broadcasts, movies and on and on it went. This has got to stop! Hopefully this small act from each of us who decide to participate will prove there are still plenty of people in the U.S. that are not pro-choice.

This is such a good cause. I'm so glad our Sunshine Girls got involved in this. I'm also very proud of HP for going up to total strangers and asking them to take one and get involved. We need more people like her in this world.

Your post just made me cry. I am so proud of her. I am so thankful that you and Brad are such strong Christian examples in Blake and Hailey's lives. I couldn't have asked for a better family and I couldn't be any prouder of her.
