Family Fun Day 2008

Family Fun Day at Tannehill State Park is something we look forward to every year. This year was especially great because the weather was so nice. We got up at our regular time, packed up the bicycle, cooler and kids. Then, we were ready to hit the road! As soon as we pulled up Hailey lit up and said "HEY, I remember this place!" Brad and I have made so many memories there and now we are sharing that and it makes our time there even more special. We grilled steaks and I brought some big ole' baked taters to enjoy. Hailey was gone most of the day over by the playground, Brad brought is guitar and picked with Lori and her dulcimer and played cards and I visited and shopped.

This is the best time of the year to take the kids to the park. The place is all decked out with Halloween Decor and they have their annual Trade Days. Blake got a new rocking chair, play tractor with farm animals and a cowboy hat. Hailey got a really pretty ring and a stuffed pig. After a long but incredibly wonderful day with our church family, Lori, Mama Chee-vee, Christy and I went to the Tannehill Opry to hear Lori sing. After a not so quick pit stop by Cracker Barrel we ended up at home around midnight.

Another wonderful day with great friends! I can't wait until next year!
