Brad has been off work for shut-down and we have been able to spend two wonderful weeks together. I love it when he is home. We have time to regroup, focus on each other and have fun with the kids. During his time off we celebrated our birthdays. We were born on the same date one year apart. When we first started talking {way back in the day when I was only 14 and he was 15} he was always goofing around and I didn't believe him for a long time that we had the same birthday.
I felt myself getting older this year. I was a little anxious about turning 27...it is so close to 30...not that 30 is OLD old...but....you know.
Here is a rundown of our week together:
Working on the Garage
Yard Work
Church
Visiting with Family
Playing Rock Band
Playing Monopoly
Shopping at the Mall
Getting a Make Over at Libby Lue
Carousel Rides Until your head spins
Godiva Chocolates
Eating, Eating, and More Eating
Fireworks
Lake
Watching Blake Pull Up and Stand
5 lb. bag of Boiled Peanuts
Sleeping Late
Our 4th of July celebration consisted of hanging out with the family, eating (of course), fireworks & playing my first game of Monopoly...... It was so much fun and even though it was nearly 1:00 a.m. before we concluded our game we had fun laughing, acting like idiots and taking each others properties. We did get a little rowdy though...
Ever heard the expression "Having fun until someone gets hurt?" Well, when Lori and I get together it is more like "Having fun until something gets broke and Mama Chee-vee attempts to kill you!" LOL
BTW: I won Monopoly!!!!!!
